Participants are now confirmed for the fifth Round of the 2024 X-Trial World Championship, including the top five in the current Standings
The FIM X-Trial World Championship ends its summer break with X-Trial Andorra la Vella on 5th October. And four-times World Champion Adam Raga will be back in the line-up. After dropping out of the automatic qualification positions in Nice and sitting out the visit to Geneva, the Sherco man returns to the Poliesportiu d’Andorra where he has made the podium in three of the last four stagings.
Veteran Raga will be joined by the youngest rider in the field Aniol Gelabert (TRRS), who last appeared at the season-opening X-Trial Barcelona in February. Gelabert starred in the 2023 edition of X-Trial Andorra la Vella, finishing fourth.
The two Spaniards will join their fellow countrymen Toni Bou (Repsol Honda Trial Team) , Gabriel Marcelli (Repsol Honda Trial Team), and Jaime Busto GasGas), as well as Toby Martyn (Montesa) and Benoit Bincaz (Sherco), guaranteed their places in the line-up thanks to their top-five ranking in the current series.
One place in the line-up is reserved for a rider of a different nationality to that lead quintet, and that Wild Card spot goes to Norway’s Sondre Haga (GasGas) for the visit to Andorra. Haga will make his first appearance of the season and therefore his first since moving on to the TXE GP. Following Gael Chatagno’s appearance on the Electric Motion in Geneva, Haga’s inclusion on electric machinery here underlines the series’ firm support of a sustainable future in the sport.
Haga’s nomination means Matteo Grattarola misses out after appearing in the four previous Rounds.
