Riders confirmed for the X-Trial FIM of Nations

Spain, France, Great Britain, Italy, and Norway set to compete in Nice

The five countries competing in the X-Trial FIM  of Nations on April 18 at the Palais Nikaïa in Nice have now confirmed their rider pairs. Among them, two will make their debut in an official X-Trial competition: Italy’s Francesco Titli and Norway’s Jarand-Matias Vold Gundvaldsen, both TRRS riders.

At just 18 years old, Titli is the youngest competitor and was crowned Italian Indoor runner-up last year. Meanwhile, 25-year-old Vold Gundvaldsen has already claimed victories in X-Trial events held in Germany. They will join the other eight riders.

Spain will field 19-time World Champion Toni Bou (Repsol Honda Trial Team) alongside runner-up Jaime Busto (GasGas). France will feature Benoit Bincaz, who will debut with Electric Motion after his time with Sherco, and Hugo Dufrese (Beta), who has competed in three rounds of this season’s FIM X-Trial World Championship. Great Britain will be represented by Jack Peace (Sherco) and Harry Hemingway (Beta). Peace has competed in three rounds this year, achieving a best result of fifth place, while Hemingway has made his debut by participating in two events.

Italy will pair the debutant Titli with the experienced Matteo Grattarola (Beta). Norway will compete with Sondre Haga (GasGas) and Jarand-Matias Vold Gundvaldsen.

The event will consist of two rounds. First one will follow the traditional scoring system and the second round will be a Sprint Race format. The top three teams from the combined results of both rounds will advance to the Final.
