Rider returns provide the headlines for the season finale
This Saturday 16th November is the final Round of the 2024 FIM X-Trial World Championship, and the eight competing riders who will see out the season in the Navarra Arena are now known.
As always the top five in the series Standings are guaranteed their place as automatic qualifiers, but this time their number includes a return for Toby Martyn (Montesa) who sat out the recent visit to Tallinn. 18-times World Champion Toni Bou (Repsol Honda Trial Team) suffered a rare defeat in Estonia and will be out for his revenge, while Jaime Busto (GasGas) and Gabriel Marcelli (Repsol Honda Trial Team) continue their quest for the silver medal. And after his podium last time out, Benoit Bincaz (Sherco) hopes to put pressure on Martyn for fourth in the Standings.
A Wild Card has been awarded to Adam Raga (Sherco) who currently sits sixth overall, meaning he has missed just a single Round – X-Trial Geneva.
Meanwhile Miquel Gelabert (Vertigo) made a comeback in Tallinn after two years out of the X-Trial World Championship and he will make back-to-back appearances. It will also be a second outing of the season for Sondre Haga of Norway who completes the field on his electric GasGas TXE GP; he finished seventh at X-Trial Andorra la Vella.
The action gets underway at 18:00 local time and is not to be missed! Follow the final Round live on www.x-trial.tv .
